A 35 -year -old Nilam Shind, a resident of Satara district in Maharashtra, was subjected to a road accident in the United States on February 14. A car hit Neil in California, then he went into a coma. He is currently admitted to the ICU. Police have arrested the accused driver for the accident.
Neellam’s father, Tanji Shinde, said that he had learned about the February 4 February accident, then he was trying to get a visa to travel to the United States, but he was not successful so far. He said that the status of Nilam is critical and the family needs to get there as soon as possible.
Media reported that after the Indian government’s intervention, the US State Department has promised to complete the visa formalities soon. He was called for an interview at 9am on Friday.
Neelam’s uncle Sanjay said that Neelam’s hands and legs were broken and he had serious head injury. Hospital management sought permission from the family for brain surgery. The family needs to be present there to take care of Nilam.

NCP (Sharad Power) MP Supriya Sul Sul Shinde has appealed to Foreign Minister S Jayashankar on social media to help get a visa. He said that this is a worrying problem and all of us should be assisted together to solve it.
Sule said that by talking to the victim’s family, they assured them that the problem would be resolved soon. Sule said that there may be political differences with the BJP leader Zaishankar, but whenever an Indian student comes abroad, Jayashankar shows sympathy and it is very helpful.
Sule said that his experience with the Foreign Ministry was good and he was always ready to help. He also said that he had also contacted the US embassy in Mumbai.
