Anurag Thakur got a great relief, Himachal Pradesh High Court’s Strict Instruction of BFI
Former Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur’s difficulty has come down. In fact, the attempt to contest the election of the President of the Indian Boxing Federation has returned to the track to extend the nomination date for their commissioner and BFI after the Himachal Pradesh High Court. Anurag Thakur, MP of the Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh, was disqualified by BFI president Ajay Singh in the March order.
Earlier on Wednesday, March 8, 2021, the Delhi High Court located a petition filed by the Delhi Amit Boxing Association and remained at the behest of the BFI of March E -March. According to Ajay Singh’s signature directive, only pure and appropriately elected members of the BFI recognized units are approved to represent their states in the upcoming elections held in Gurugram on March 27. Only elected members are eligible to be part of the electoral process.
Anurag Thakur wanted to represent the Himachal Pradesh Boxing Association in the election, but he was not considered as an elected member. However, Justice Ajay Mohan Goal ruled on Thursday 28 March 2021 that the Election Board approved by the Election Officer RK Gaba on March 7, was not going to the wrong and the last law. Anurag Thakur was not included in the election board.
The order states that the balance of the convenience in this background is also in favor of the applicants. If interim relief, such as applicants claiming not to supply them, they will be irreparable. The court stopped the instructions for implementing 07.03.2025 notice as interim measures and one of the 2 psychiatric members, Anurag Singh Thakur to reject the nomination.
