With his new project Chi@Vajamon, social entrepreneur Lakshmi Menon is hopeful to give tourists a new experience set at the station, which extends beyond the general offrooding, tea ganden and Pint Forest. He wants travelers to have an immersed experience of the Hill Station on the western ghat on the Kottayam -Idukki border.
Lakshmi says, “It is the one who is looking for experiences for those who do not hurry to do tourist -centric but enjoy Ratha Jernei and soak the essence of the place they are in,” Lakshmi says. The idea was triggered by something he saw in Vavaman while he was there for months in 2021. “There were creaming, old bungalows and buildings in frustration; what I saw or felt was different. Among the other sessions are Mitraniketan, the producer of rural-based products, Ayurglam by PNM Ayurveda, a walking and sketch and a bamboo workshop by sketch and Rajiv VK. In addition to these, visitors can enjoy the morning walk and contact the locals. There will be a daily decopase session by Handartika.
